St.Isidore, NB  population of less than 800 people. And we are very excited to be a FINALIST for Canada’s Best Pickleball Club 2023.

Pickleball St-Isidore offers us a calibre of competitive and creative games. It is a very accessible sport also for the surrounding localities.

Even if the first outdoor courts date back to 2018, it still feels like playing on national courts.  Super nice location, protected from the wind, impeccably well maintained and very safe with excellent infrastructure.   It is an inexpensive sport for guaranteed pleasure.

Pickleball St-Isidore to its Google Maps, Facebook, Messenger with a very flexible, accessible and easy-to-use schedule system, 7 days / week.

In addition, information on various procedures and others is regularly received.

In closing, it is wonderful  to see a municipality with so few inhabitants, have 14 pickleball courts and 250 members .

In the opinion of many, our many lands are coveted by many surrounding and out-of-province communities.

I confirm that Le Club de St-Isidore is a paradise for pickleball lovers.

There is no better choice than the St-Isidore Club for an unforgettable pickleball experience.

The Committee is composed of myself as  Chairman, Carl Hach as Vice-President, Manon Comeau as Secretary, Marie-Mai Thériault as Treasurer,  Raoul Lanteigne and Étienne Raiche as Councillor.

They have also been faithful to the benefits since the very beginning.

President of Pickleball St-Isidore in NB

Our project became real thanks to our determination and the open-mindedness of the St-Isidore City Council in place in 2018.

As physical activity is essential in St-Isidore, I had the authorization of the municipal council to take 2 tennis courts and make 6 pickleball terrains.

The land was made possible thanks to local sponsors and a provincial project.

I took the initiative to buy the paint and I recruited volunteers to make the project a reality.  I asked a specialist to make me a machine to make the lines on the grounds.

2018 – 2023

In 2018 we had 50 members, today 250 members.

Construction of 8 outdoor courts with windbreaks.  6 dedicated courts with a fence.  and 2 pickleball courts on the tennis court.

We have added keys that divide everything and even small doors that prevent balls from leaving the game without forgetting some benches and awnings.

We have access to our arena in St-Isidore to allow us to play in case of extreme heat, wind or rain as overall plan B.

– Organization of an annual tournament and several “melis-melos”, not to mention the games played daily.

– Among our players, we have 4 national referees level 1, 2 national entry level 1  and 1 national entry level 2.

– Since the beginning, several initiation clinics have been given to several hundred people.  Clinics for advanced are also available. Since April 2023, 70 people have attended an initiation clinic.

With our Level 2 entry,  the Club pays $ 20 to each player who takes a refresher course, which increases the level of the game.

– Since 2022, we have organized the Jeux de l'Acadie 50 + tournament.

– During tournaments, the money raised (50/50) is donated to causes such as cancer and other charities.

– The schedule the day is available on Google Docs which is shared with players every week from Sunday to Saturday.  People place their names at the time and with the group of their choice.

-The cost to be a member is $10 for the season (May to November) and free for those 19 and under.

– Pickleball St-Isidore always gives priority to students who want to come and try Pickleball.

-Our volunteers work hard and are always available.

– We are an international pickleball club.

– We have 2 pitches available to accommodate wheelchair users.  We even added an asphalt sidewalk to facilitate accessibility.  We are excited and ready to host Para-Pickleball.

– Covid: I  have set up a staggered and very strict protocol concerning Covid.  It has been accepted by the Municipality of St-Isidore, the Province and NB Public Health.  Each lot had its own disinfectant station. When they saw our protocol, they said we were an example to follow.   Parts of our protocol have even been used for other sports.

According to  OUR MEMBERS, here are the reasons why we should be considered the best pickleball club  in Canada and what makes us unique:
